We have served more than 100 clients, mainly small- and medium-sized businesses in the legal, manufacturing, healthcare, non-profit, financial services, and professional services industries. Typically our clients have anywhere from 20 to 400 end users (employees using a desktop, laptop, and/or device(s) on a regular basis), but we have many clients who are smaller and larger as well.

No problem! Many of our customers have a designated IT Support person or in-house IT department to handle day-to-day technical issues and minor network problems. These organizations often count on us for the most critical IT Support functions, such as strategic advice, technical projects, second opinions, IT security and advanced Business Applications support.

We work primarily remotely.  There are many excellent tools that allow us to deploy software updates onto your machines, remote screen share with you when we need to see what’s happening, and even remote wipe a stolen laptop or pinpoint the location of a missing mobile device.  Obviously, when “boots on the ground” are required, we will be there.

Essentially, cloud computing is a kind of outsourcing of computer programs. Using cloud computing, users are able to access software and applications from wherever they are; the computer programs are being hosted by an outside party and reside in the cloud. This means that users do not have to worry about things such as storage and power, they can simply enjoy the end result.

Cloud computing brings immense economies of scale to computing and delivers computing resources on-demand in much the same way utilities deliver gas and electricity. The shift to the on-demand model of cloud computing isn’t just about cost savings. Far more important, it’s about giving organizations the agility they need to act quickly on new opportunities without IT being on the critical path. “Fast to market” is a central economic variable and speed is essential in the world of total global competition.

The short answer is, yes.  Cloud Service Providers (CSP) submit their cloud computing security to a variety of internal and third party tests in order to qualify for various security and “best practices” certification standards.  Cloud computing security is likely to be better than your current computer security practices because CSPs can retain the services of some of the best IT security professionals in the industry.
